Vitalöl, prepared by the Dr. R. Charles Fernando method, is a dietary supplement with secondary plant substances, essential fatty acids and Vitamin E
Vitalöl, a natural product, with no additives, preservatives, colorants:
In producing our Vitalöl, care was taken to achieve a balanced mixture of the ingredients (grape seed oil, linseed oil, evening primrose oil, alfalfa extract, DL-α-tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E). Each of the plant substances in the high-quality oil acts to promote the effects of the other ingredients.
Grape seed oil (Proanthocyanidine): The valuable substances in the greenish-yellow oil won from red grapes were already appreciated in antiquity and the Middle Ages. In addition to Vitamin E and lecithin, cold-pressed grape seed oil contains 90% unsaturated fatty acids. Of these, 70% is linoleic acid, and the oligomers proanthocyanidine, or OPC, as further bioactive substances. OPC is among the plant substances known as polyphenols. They are 100% bioavailable and are thus completely metabolized in the body.
Linseed oil (Ω-3-fatty acid α-linolic acid): α-linolic acid is found primarily in linseed and rapeseed oil, and in green leafy vegetables. In the body, these fatty acids are converted in a slow process to other higher-unsaturated fatty acids. Since the body cannot synthesize α-linolic acid itself, it must be obtained from the diet and thus is among the essential fatty acids.
Evening primrose oil (Ω-6-fatty acid γ-linolic acid): The starting substance of Omega-6-fatty acid (γ-linolic acid) is linolic acid, which is present mainly in thistle, sunflower, corn and soy oils. γ-linolic acid forms endogenously from linolic acid and is present in greater quantities in evening primrose oil and borage oil.
Alfalfa extract (rich in chlorophyll): Chlorophyll, the green leaf colorant in plants, is a porphyrin derivative with magnesium as its metallic component, related in chemical structure to hemoglobin, the red blood component which contains iron.
Vitamin E (DL-α-tocopheryl acetate): Vitamin E is produced exclusively by plants, and the name is used to indicate all biologically-active tocopherols. It is found in all cell membranes and protects polyunsaturated fatty acids, like linolic acid, against oxidation by aggressive oxygen radicals.
